SUMMER COMPOSITION YOUTH CAMP
Give your child a creative and inspiring summer experience in music-making!
The Summer Composition Youth Camp is a 5-day program designed for young musicians ages 10–17 who are interested in creating their own music. Students will explore the basics of composition through fun, hands-on activities, group collaboration, improvisation, and guided writing exercises.
A basic music background (such as playing an instrument or reading music) is helpful but not strictly required. The most important qualities are curiosity, openness, and a love for music-making.
What Students Will Do:
Compose an original piece of music
Explore rhythm, melody, and musical storytelling
Participate in improvisation and creative games
Collaborate with other young musicians
Share their work in a final showcase performance
