Lullabies & Little Ears Chamber Concert for Children
Lullabies & Little Earsis an immersive chamber music concert for children ages 0–12 and their families. This interactive, family-friendly experience brings live chamber music directly into the audience, inviting children and families to explore music and sound up close. This year, the program features playful arrangements of children’s songs, along with beloved classical, contemporary and jazz favorites. By creating a welcoming and engaging environment, Lullabies & Little Ears sparks curiosity and nurtures a lifelong love of music.

This year, we will feature a saxophone quartet playing some of your favorite songs, classical music, contemporary music, jazz, and more! Kids can listen, move, dance, clap, and enjoy the music alongside the musicians. They’ll also have a chance to learn about the saxophone and how the instruments work. It’s a fun, interactive chamber music concert for children ages 0–12 and their families, from little ones to pre teens!

Our Musicians
Aislinn Jakary
Aislinn Jakary is an internationally recognized saxophone performer and educator based in
Kansas City. She currently teaches saxophone at the University of Central Missouri. An active performer, Aislinn frequently presents at conferences and clinics across the
country. In 2025, she performed the world premiere of composer Jenni Watson’s (UK)
“Purple Mountain Dawn” as a member of the Event Horizon Duo at the International
Saxophone Symposium. Since 2023, she has been invited to perform at the World
Saxophone Congress in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain and the International Saxophone
Festival in Palmela, Portugal. Aislinn has taught saxophonists ranging from elementary school students to senior
citizens. She works regularly with local public-school programs throughout the Kansas City
Metro and her students have gone on to place in state-level honor ensembles and receive
top ratings at competitions. Since 2024, Aislinn has been on faculty for the Kansas City
Saxophone Workshop, an education summer program for middle and high school saxophonists.
Dawson Coleman
Dawson Coleman is a saxophonist and music educator based in Kansas City, Missouri. He has been recognized nationally as a soloist by the North American Saxophone Alliance, Music Teachers National Association, U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” and Mid-America Performing Arts Alliance, among others. As a concerto soloist, he has been featured with the Florida State University Philharmonia, contemporary music ensemble Polymorphia, and Interlochen’s Intermediate Wind Symphony. A dedicated educator, Dawson serves as Instructor of Saxophone for William Jewell College, Teaching Fellow of Saxophone at Interlochen Arts Camp, and Graduate Teaching Assistant for the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory’s saxophone studio. His recent teaching engagements include guest masterclasses at Eastern Michigan University, the University of Central Missouri, and the University of Kansas. Dawson holds Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from Florida State University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. A proud JLV Ambassador, he performs exclusively on JLV ligatures for their responsiveness and vibrancy.
Blake Adams
Blake Adams is a renowned saxophonist from Birmingham, Alabama who has begun to make great strides as a soloist and champion on new music. He is an active competitor on his instrument, being selected as a semifinalist for the North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA) Biennial Competition and winning the Huxford Orchestra Concerto Competition and the Birmingham Music Club Guild Scholarship. He has performed nationally as a soloist with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Kansas City Civic Orchestra, Camilla Huxford Symphony Orchestra, Hot Springs Symphony Orchestra, and the University of Alabama’s Million Dollar Band. He is a founding member of Duo Ferula, a saxophone and clarinet duo have been playing together since 2018. Recently giving their Carnegie Hall debut with “Project Synthesis”, the duo is preparing to record the works they have commissioned and performed over the last few years. When he is not engaging with the saxophone, he enjoys hiking and rock climbing.
Geoffrey Landman
Geoffrey Landman is a performer, teacher, and advocate of the saxophone and new music. He has performed across North America, Europe, Singapore, Thailand, and in New York City’s most well-known venues including Carnegie Hall, Miller Theatre at Columbia University, The United Nations, and Trinity Wall Street. He performs with new music groups including Either/Or Ensemble, NovusNY, and Wavefield Ensemble, and has collaborated with many acclaimed artists, including vocalists Donatienne Michel-Dansac and Tony Arnold, JACK String Quartet, TILT Brass, Prism Saxophone Quartet, pianist/composer Osnat Netzer, and poet J.D. McClatchy. For 8 years Geoffrey was the soprano saxophonists with the New Thread Quartet, a new-music saxophone quartet he co-founded in 2011. Dr. Landman is the Assistant Professor of Saxophone at the University of Kansas. He holds degrees from the University of Michigan, University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, post-graduate work at the Hochschule für Musik Basel in Switzerland, and New England Conservatory where he was the first ever DMA in Saxophone Performance in the school’s history.
